This
sculpture is made out of Sculpy, an oil based clay you
can find at any craft store. Inside of the Sculpy is
a wire form, which gives support to the structure and
allows me to easily connect the form to the wooden base.
This
sculpture is made out of Super Sculpy, a stronger form
of Sculpy. Inside of the Super Sculpy is a wire form
mounted on a galvanized, steel pipe. This is then all
mounted on floor flange and screwed to a wooden base.

For
The Birds is owned by Pixar and the Disney Company.
The
skeleton for this project is a Skilcraft Visible Woman.
The model kit contains the skeleton pieces, organs,
and a clear outer form. We were only using the skeleton,
unfortunately the skeleton is made to fit in all the
plastic organs so it is oversized. We tried trimming
down some of the rib cage but it still is unporportioned.
Also as a side note, the kit makes a claim of "Easy
Assembly", this is not true. Once we put the skeleton
together we placed it in an action position of our choosing.
I chose 2nd position in ballet. We then covered the
skeleton with super sculpy and formed the muscles. Our
last step was to texture and harden the sculpture.
